    Mondays PDF Print E-mail

Did I mention I hate Mondays?

“Mister Monday can you spare a dime…”-The Original Caste

That song is running around in my head this morning. The same group recorded a 45 with “Wan Tin Solider” on the other side. That is my all time favorite. It still gets occasional air time on the radio even today, but the group never made it into the big time. I guess you could say it keeps it real.

I have always viewed the Rainbow Family as the mountain people from that song. Don’t know why but it seems to fit. Maybe it is because we see the real treasure, people are after as just “Peace on Earth”

I have been avoiding the news recently, enough bad karma surrounds me that I do not have to invite more in at this time. I try to balance it out by going to AGR and getting a copy of “Today’s Joy” from Mama Turtle. Always glad to hear a little token of good karma.

Mondays are bad Karma days for me. I stay up to late on weekends and feel the energy zap from me on Monday mornings, if anything goes wrong, it is usally because I am not ready for it. But that is my choice.

I do not believe in fate of any kind. We choose things to go down a certain way even if we won’t admit it to ourselves. We may not choose the actual events, such as war. But we choose our reactions to them. That choice is what I call Karma. Mondays are bad, because I choose to get out of bed. J

Or… because I choose not to get enough sleep on the weekend :P

We can choose to have good karma, all it takes is a little effort and foresight.

Choosing to do the right things, making moral choices to cause no harm, is only half the equation. You have to generate a kind of reaction in others. The boy scouts maybe onto something with a good deed a day thing. In order to have a good Monday, you’d have to make it good for someone else.

I’m going to choose to make today better, by an act of will.

    Have a nice day.
